Biruda is the first child and eldest son of Cerod . He is commonly referred to as the Rau'n of the Sun, or the Keeper of the City. He was born with a gifted mind, even when compared with the Rau'n surrounding him. He is the one who was gifted with the task of keeping Bran Vaal alive and working, glowing bright and golden.
He is the one who keeps the city glorious, who devotes his energy to the upkeep of The Mother's resting place. He has advanced the city to a glorious pinnacle of creation and technology, so much so that mortal eyes cannot fully stare upon it. It is brighter than it ever has been before, even when The Mother first fashioned it. It is the sun that lights the Cocoon, or it is at least known as such to the people below.
True to his knowledge in the field of machina, working engines, and clockwork devices, Biruda often appears as a wizened old man. He was one of the first ones to openly walk among the mortal races, growing tired of his brothers and sisters who would not listen to his exciting ideas on how to bring new technology to the world below. They pushed him aside, told him the mortals were not ready for his crazy inventions. Ever the eager God, just wanting to share his intellect with someone, anyone... he soon stepped down to the Cocoon, and walked among the creation his Father had fashioned. He first walked among the Vezhati, teaching them the simplest of the machina, the least complex of the clockworks. This is where they first gained their gift of knowledge, or at least in the field of technology.
