The Seamstress
Nimue is the third child and the second daughter between the Mother and Eos. She is the Rau'n of Fate, and the keeper of its loom, eternally weaving the Grand Design. Wise and ancient, she is one of the most powerful Ao, yet remains uninvolved in the affairs of the world, determined only to complete the tapestry of existence.
Nimue is the maker of the Astari, a race she created in her own image, to become the champions of the Grand Design. She has blessed the wisest of them with the power to peer into the Tapestry of Fate. In ages of yore, before the Golden Zenith, Nimue would walk among the Tessit. Some of the oldest Tessit can attest to this. For whatever reason, Nimue has long since stopped such things, and only whispers to the wisest of Tessit from afar.
Appearance[]
While she rarely, if at all, manifests in the recent ages, records state that Nimue's visage is dependent upon the current stage of the Tapestry of Fate. In the Golden Zenith, for example, Nimue would appear as a fair Tessit woman in silk raiment of gold and silver, while in the Forlorn Twilight, she would manifest as an unassuming middle-aged Human woman in mourning white robes. Rumor has it that occasionally she visits Diva Cadencia II of the Chantry of Ecematare in the guise of a highborn Salmyran lady or a Tessit pilgrim.
