Seras is the fifth child and third son of the Mother and is the Rau'n of Light and twin to the Rau'n of Darkness, Viinu.
There was once a time when Seras was a benevolent being, infinitely wise and a beacon of clarity for all whose minds were plagued by doubt and hesitation.
Often dubbed the Lord of Enlightenment, he personified a person's inner light, their personal revelations and the path to inspiration.
Rarely do these descriptions apply to him any longer, for the threads of corruption have latched itself deeply into his mind. Instigated by the battle between The Mother and his elder sister Aoide, Bran Vaal's pure light was polluted by the manifestation of shadows, which had never before existed until the corrupted spawn of the Rau'n of Sorcery stepped foot into the holy city.
The whispers reached him then, snaking into his mind, warping his thoughts and darkening his skin to a shade that no longer reflected his inner luminance. Where once Seras was a being of pure, unhindered clarity, he now began to question the decisions of The Mother. But where Aoide was rebellious, the Rau'n of Light had become far more deceptive. Some rau'n were suspicious of an alliance between Aoide and Seras, but where such matters were concerned, Seras denied them all.
For a time he remained ignorant of the affairs between the mortal races, until the reappearance of the Inadri. To him, the re-emergence of the banished kings was a sign of the regeneration of the world, where the mortal age would soon see its end.
His children are the Asrai, the Light Binders, who have inherited their sire's mentality and have supported him throughout the ages. They are his weapon against the blight that is the human race.
