Shedim are the cursed offpsring of Aoide, populating the diabolic world of Sheol.
Shedim themselves are subdivided by their Orders. The first and lowest orders mark the weakest of the Shedim, those slaves and servants to mortals and other Shedim alike. The Orders ascend to the highest of Aoide's offspring, her first born and all powerful Iblis. Iblis are the most primal embodiments of Aoide's creativity, heart, and wrath. They were the ones who lead the way through Bran Vaal's golden halls.
Although lower order Shedim are considered "weak", most Shedim still possess power on par with that of the Rau'n. Aoide herself was (is), after all, the aspect of the Mother's sorcerous power.
