Viinu is the fifth child and third daughter of the Mother and the Rau'n of Darkness and twin to the Rau'n of Light, Seras.
Darkness is oft misunderstood, equated with things that incite fear and malevolence, fraught with things best left unknown. But it is this realm that makes the Lady of the Night both alluring and mystifying.
Viinu is the personification of the Unknown. She is the veil that calms the mind and instills a curiosity in the hearts of those that seek more than what they know. She is by no means a baleful aonir, but neither can she truly be called a banevolent figure. She is the in-between, the silent spectator, the hand that reaches forth and silences should the need present itself.
She is the Watcher in the dark, aware of any and all who tread in her realm. She is the Vindicator who steps forth to protect that which she holds dear; her Children, the Noiros, Keepers of the Night, and the sanctity of the Unknown realm.
Appearance[]
Viinu manifests as a woman swathed in fabrics bathed in all the colors of the night: indigo, teal, cerulean, and topped with a shimmery irridescent shades of cyan. Her skin is near translucent, with gradient shades of shimmering opalescent hues, a feature she shares with her Children. Adorned over her eyes is an elaborate avian-inspired mask, covering near everything except her lips. Her eyes are never visible.
History[]
In coming to a revelation that darkness and light could not be personified in a single entity, the Mother split the form and created from a core, twins, Seras and Viinu. As unusual their creation was, they had come to find that they were also symbiotically linked, in that should the one cease to exist, so too shall the other.
